Note To My Younger Self.

Stole this from my dad's blog. Though I'm still young, a lot has happened and so I wanted to do this.

So here's the set up;you have one opportunity to briefly travel back in time and hand yourself a short note in the past.

This note won't directly affect other people's lives (such as the birth of children etc) unless you prevent a relationship, we aren't going to delve too deep into the cause and effect of temporal paradoxes.
The portal awaits...

I'll travel back to my 9 year old self as that's the age I was when things started to get crazy in my life. The year, 2005.

Dear Harley,
You're 9 years old now and things are okay at the moment but very soon everything in your life will start to change.
Lets start with Nan-nan and Grandad. They won't be together much longer as Nan-nan will move away and find a new boyfriend but don't worry, though Grandad will go through some really dark times, things do get better for him and he moves on too. You won't see Nan-nan for a while but that's okay too because soon enough she will get back in contact with you all and things will get better.

Now mummy is going to get really poorly soon and it will be hard to watch. Though she won't be able to run about and do an awful lot anymore, she will be okay and so will you, daddy and Rags. You need to help her as much as you can because it will make things a lot easier for everybody and remember, she WILL be okay.

Don't trust everybody you meet in your life either because they will let you down and hurt you in so many different ways. You need to get stronger from it, not weaker because otherwise you won't be able to move on with your life. Trust some people but still be careful and be wary of who you do trust.

Family life will get really really hard and you'll end up being astranged from mummy, daddy and Rags for a long period of time but you'll find your way back to them when you're ready, you always do.
Remember, they love you even when you're a cow bag.

You'll go through so much heartbreak and loss but with time, you have to grow stronger.
Don't hurt yourself over any of the dark places you go into. It really doesn't help and you'll regret the state of your arm by the time you're my age.
Keep the things you obsess about close to your heart. You will always love the shows and music you do now though you discover new ones, it just adds to the list.

Things to look forward too are holidays, trips, Sherlock, more Doctor Who, YouTubers (you'll understand soon enough) and so much more.

Little Harley, keep your head held high, don't let things get to you so much and please, please stop hurting yourself! You feel so alone sometimes, you will at my age too but try and keep the possitivity in your head and know no matter what happens, somebody out there loves you and cares. Things will very slowly get better. Just know there's a small light at the end of this dark tunnel and at 20, you'll try your hardest to find what that light means. It's still small at the moment but it's better than it was.

One last thing...

Don't be a dick to everybody you love. It hurts you as much as it hurts them and it helps nothing, trust me.
Oh and go to the doctors as soon as you're old enough to realise there's something not quite right in your head. It's still not sorted so if you do it sooner, we might be happier at this point in life.

Stay strong,
Your future self. x
