New Job

Last week I started a new job working for at a place in Sheffield that my mum previously worked in before she was taken ill. It's a role I haven't done before as I'm use to being on the phones trying to sell members of the public things they really don't want nor need so this is a nice change but also was a scary one to begin with.

I didn't know how I'd be in this role at all but so far, so good.

The run down of my role there is answering the phone to customers that want to place orders from the catalogues we work for, for example, Freemans, Grattan, LookAgain and Witt International along with a few others. In a few months, I'll be trained to also do customer service as well as the order line.

Today was my second day on the phones and since yesterday I've pretty much picked up the gist of how the systems work.

I've been in training with some lovely people I'd like to call friends now and we've all helped eachother throughout training and so far working on the live systems.

The job as a whole is pretty fun and I'm enjoying it thus far.

So why am I writing about it? Well, in the last few months my life has been back and forth but since getting this job, I've moved back into my flat with my boyfriend, actually got a relationship with my parents and sister after a long few years of being back and forth with talking to them and not and now I have a great job that I will hopefully last in and be very happy doing. I've also made some friends I hope to keep in the foreseeable future.

All in all, it's been a busy, stressful week but it's definitely been worth it.
