'Tis The Season!

From Google

As always, December has come around quicker than you'd expect and Christmas Day has been and gone already. Usually I'd spend the day with family, opening presents, stuffing my face and drinking a little too much though not actually getting drunk.
Christmas is the only time of year that you can get away with drinking from when you wake up until you fall asleep. It's that time of year where diets go out of the window and you eat everything and anything you want. It's also one of the only times of the year where I actually eat a lot of food. Usually I'd have one small-ish meal and maybe some snacks through the day but at Christmas, I can eat so much and I honestly don't know why.

Stressing over Christmas already!

With Christmas coming up soon, I've been pretty stressed out to be honest.
Everybody always said Christmas was stressful when I was a kid but I obviously didn't know fully what they meant because I was that kid getting presents from my parents and enjoying the day but as I got older, I noticed it wasn't as fun anymore.

July 2017 Favourites!

I've decided to do a segment on my blog where I give you guys a list (I like lists) of some of my favourite things within the previous month. This segment will hopefully be uploaded within the first week of the month here on out.
So, here we go...

Robbie Williams, The Heavy Entertainment Show - 130617

Your 21st is known as one of the biggest birthdays of your life. It's known as the age you get the keys to the door, however this statement has never made any sense to me as when I lived with my parents, I got a key to the house when I went to comprehensive school and since September last year, I started to rent my own flat so the whole 'key to the door' for your 21st doesn't seem relevant to me and therefore my birthday this year didn't seem to matter all that much to me. I didn't see it as special or anything... Of course I still wanted to do something on the day but I never gave it much thought. See, I'm pretty sentimental when it comes to birthdays and holidays like Christmas or Halloween so I have to do something, even something small. However, what I didn't know was that my 21st would turn out to be one of the most exciting birthdays I've had.

Manchester Attack.

I haven't written anything for a while due to writer's block. I haven't really done anything; been  anywhere or had anything happen to me to be able to actually write anything down and for that I apologise.

For the past couple of days, the main thing that's been on the news is the Manchester attack that happened on Monday night [220517] which I'm sure you've all seen but just in case you haven't, I'll give you a quick run down.

New Job

Last week I started a new job working for at a place in Sheffield that my mum previously worked in before she was taken ill. It's a role I haven't done before as I'm use to being on the phones trying to sell members of the public things they really don't want nor need so this is a nice change but also was a scary one to begin with.
I didn't know how I'd be in this role at all but so far, so good.

A Skill I Wish I Had...

Yesterday I went to see an old friend of mine for a catch up. It's been a while since we've actually seen eachother.
We got talking about jobs and college and ended up on the subject of video editing and animation.

Star Trek Beyond (Spoilers)

My long await to watch the third Star Trek film is finally over. It's been out for a while now but I got to watch it with my dad the other day (I bought him the bluray for Christmas)

Amy Collinson and Frances Nicholson - 1912

When I was younger, school took our year on a little walk around the area of Kimberworth (where my school was located) and they told us a little story.
The story of two young girls, Amy Collinson, aged 10 and her cousin Frances Nicholson, aged 7. These young girls lived around the area of Kimberworth.

Here's the story of these two children.

Alice Through The Looking Glass.

Alice in Wonderland is a fantastic set of films designed for families to sit down and enjoy together. Tim Burton likes to take these kind of films and add his weird yet wonderful twist onto them. I personally think it makes the films so much better.

Sherlock Season 4 (Spoilers)

So, here we are, Sunday 15th January 2017 also known as BBC Sherlock's finale date. As I said in a previous post, Sherlock is a big part of my life and it's something I adore watching whenever I can. Now, Season 4 has just finished and let me tell you, I've never cried so much over a series in my life.
The last three weeks has been a waiting game to find out many things such as is Moriarty back? What's Mycroft's secret? Who's going to die?

The answers were shown and all very shocking but thrilling. Here's where the spoilers come in.

Sherlock and YouTube!

Over the past few years, I've been finding things such as TV shows, music etc... That have made me feel happy. All of which I still love today and I know I more than likely always will. It's something I seem to do. I get obsessed with something and it stays with me throughout my life. Only being 20, you might say I can't say that but everything I've ever loved, I still do today.

Now, recently I've been watching certain things that I have loved for the past few years but it's all I've actaully been watching.
The first is Sherlock, the second is YouTube.

Note To My Younger Self.

Stole this from my dad's blog. Though I'm still young, a lot has happened and so I wanted to do this.

So here's the set up;you have one opportunity to briefly travel back in time and hand yourself a short note in the past.

This note won't directly affect other people's lives (such as the birth of children etc) unless you prevent a relationship, we aren't going to delve too deep into the cause and effect of temporal paradoxes.
The portal awaits...

I'll travel back to my 9 year old self as that's the age I was when things started to get crazy in my life. The year, 2005.

2017 List!

So, 2017 is here and if I'm honest, I don't have high hopes for this year. Over the past few years my possitivity is almost none existant. I don't really have anything to look forward to anymore, nothing to be truly happy about...

This year I've decided to try to change that. Call it a 'new years resolution' if you will.
